RESOLUTION ORI3ERING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO

WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 29th day of March, 1966,
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
;California, adopted and passed a resolution of intention to
'annex certain territory to County Service .Area No. 26, as
'.hereinafter described and pursuant tp title 3, division 2,
-part 2, chapter 3 of the Government Code of the State of
'California, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County instituted
proceedings for the annexation of territory to County Service
Area No. 26; and
WHEREAS, said resolution fixed the 19th day of April,
1966, at 11:00 o'clock a.m. of said day, in the Board of
Supervisors Room of the Butte County Courthouse, in the City of
;Oroville, State of California, as the time and place of
,hearing the guestion of annexation of said area; and
WHEREAS, said hearing on April 19th was continued to
' May 3, 1906, at 11:00 o~clock a.m. of said day, at which time
' oral protests to the annexation by residents outside the territory
,proposed to be .annexed were considered and overruled; there being
no protest received from residents or registered voters residing
within the territory proposed to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That said Board of Supervisors of the County of
'Butte hereby finds and determines the annexation proceedings valid
and conducted in conformity with the requirements of title 3,
division 2, part 2, chapter 2.2, article 8 of the Government
-Code of the State of California with publication and notices

having been given pursuant thereto.
2. It is hereby ordered by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, that the following hereinafter described
territory be annexed to County Service Area No. 26 and be made
a part thereof; that the said annexation be effective immed-
iately, subject only to compliance with the requirements of
Chapter 8, Part 1, Division 2, Title 5 of the Government
Code of the State of California. Said annexed territory being
described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL I
A portion of Lot 1 and 2, Block l~l, as shown on that
certain map entitled, "Map of Thermalito, Butte Co., California",
which map was filed in.the office of the Recorder of the County.
of Butte, State of California, June 8, 1887, as Wall Maps
4 and 6, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South boundary of an 80
foot right of way known as Merced Avenue, said South boundary
being identical with the South boundary of State Highway Route No.
2~F, and also the North boundary of Block 141 and from which true
point of beginning the Northwest corner of Block 1~2, marked
with a 3/~ inch iron pipe and R.E. Tag No. 2-35, bears East
97'0.82 feet; thence leaving the South boundary of aforesaid
Merced Avenue and running the following courses and distances:
South 230.00 feet; East 170.8] feet, North 87°0$' East 100.00
feet, East 220.00 feet, No-rtYi 75.00 feet, North 45°00' East
2$.30 feet, North 80032_' East 60.80 feet, East 23.24-feet,
North l1g.98 feet, to the South boundary of aforesaid Merced
,Avenue; thence West. along said South boundary a distance of
600.00 feet to the true point of beginning of this description,
and containing 2.875 acres, more or less.
Excepting the west 80 feet of the above described property.
PARCEL II
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section ?~, Township
19."North, Range 3 East, M,D.Bo & M,, thence North 89 51' 0~4" East;
791;90 feet to the true point of beginning for this description;
thence from said true point of beginning, North 0° 08' S6"-West
271..61 feet, thence North 890 X48' S7" East 1865.00 feet; thence
South Ol° 06' 24" East 272.80 feet to a point in the South line
of said Section 2, thence Westerly, along said South line 1865.00
feet, more or less, to the ,true point of beginning.
PARCEL III
Lots 1, 2, 3,`~4 and 5, inclusive, of Bay View Estates
a portion of Sections ~,;4, g and 10, Township 1g North, Range 3
East, M,D.B. & M.,`Butte County, California, as shown on that
certain map entitled "Map of Bay-View Estates" dated November, 1905,
recorded in the office of the Recorder of Butte County, State of
California, at the request of Northwestern Title Company on March 24,
1966, in Map Book 3~4 at pages 38, 39 and X40, Recording No. 23693

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of
;the County of Butte, State of California, this 3rd day of
May, 1866, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, Pryde, McKillop, Maxon and
Howsden
