1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, 'STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2' RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE

4 WHEREAS, the Short-Doyle Act (Welfare and Institutions Code
5 Sections 9000) authorizes local agencies to form community mental
6 health services, with provisions for state financial assistance in
7 expanding and approving local mental health services; and
8 WHEREAS, the people of the County of Butte desire to coordi-
9 Hate and improve the present health services available within the
10 County of Butte,
].l NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
12 of the County of Butte, State of California, pursuant to Section
13 9003 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, that there is hereby
14 established for the entire County of Butte, a community mental
15' health service to be known as the BUTTE COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH
16" SERVICE.
17 PASSED ANSI ADOPTED this 14th day of :June, 1966, by the
18 following vote:
19 AYES: Supervisors Howsden, McKillop, Pryde and Chaix?nan Giles -
20 NOES: Supervisor Maxon
