WHEREAS, COUNTY OF BUTTE in conjunction with SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
and PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION has conducted a survey of grade crossings in
Butte County; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the above-mentioned grade crossing
is unsafe and extremely hazardous to the safety and well being of the traveling
public; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide the needed protection, the above-
mentioned grade crossing calls for the installation of flashing light signals
at SouthernPacific Company Crossing CH 198.7;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1, That said Board hereby approves that certain indenture made the
day of , 1966, by and between SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
and COUNTY OF BUTTE, wherein an easement for the crossing hereinabove described
is granted to the COUNTY OF BUTTE.
2. The Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized to execute, on
behalf of the County of Butte, said indenture, and his signature attested to by
the Clerk of this Board, and acknowledged.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be attached by the Clerk
of said Board to said indenture and the required copies thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California this 23rd day of August ~ 1966, by the follow-
ing vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, Maxon, McKillop, P-ryde and Chairman Giles
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
