RESOLUTION CANVASSING VOTES CAST AND
ASCERTAINING AND DECLARING RESULTS OF
SPECIAL BOND ELECTION IN BUTTE COUNTY
SERVICE AREA N0. 26
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte has duly passed and adopted on June 21, 1966,
Resolution No. 6b-93 calling a special bond election in
Butte County Service Area No. 26 on August 23, 1966, for
the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors thereof
the measure hereinafter specified; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was thereafter
duly given as required by Iaw and by said resolution, as
more fully appears from the affidavits on file with this
Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said election was duly
held in accordance with law and with said resolution on
August 23, 1966 as aforesaid, that the polls for said elec-
tion were kept open during the time required by law; and
that said election was held and conducted, and the votes
thereat received and canvassed and the results thereof
ascertained, determined and declared, all as provided by
the laws of the State of California and by said resolution;
and

WHEREAS, on this date this Board of Supervisors
met at its usual meeting place and has canvassed the re-
turns of said election as required by law and the result
of said canvass is found to be as hereinafter stated and
set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them
is, true and correct and this Board so finds and determines.
2. At said election held on Tuesday, August 23,
1966, the following measure for incurring bonded indebted-
ness was submitted to the qualified electors of Butte County
Service Area No. 26 and the number of votes cast and the
number of votes counted for and against said measure (includ-
in~ absentee votes) were as follows:

incur a bonded indebtedness in
the sum of $800,000 for the pur-
pose of the acquisition, construc-
tion and completion of facilities
for the collection, treatment and
disposal of sewage of Butte County
Service Area No. 26 and its in-
habitants, comprising main trunk
lines, pipes, pumps, machinery,
lands, easements, rights of way,
and other works, property or
structures, useful or necessary
for the callection, treatment or
disposal of sewage of said Butte
County Service Area No. 26 and

3. Resolution No. 66-93 calling said election
provided that for the purpose of said election the county
service area constituted one (1) special bond election pre-
cinet, and that the number of votes cast in said precinct

for and against said measure was as follows:

4. All absent voter ballots have been duly
received and canvassed in time, form and manner as required
by law, and the result of the absentee vote for and against
said measure is as follows:

5. That less than two-thirds of all of the
votes cast at said election were in favor of said measure
and authorized the incurring of a bonded indebtedness for
the purpose set forth therein and that said measure
6. The Clerk is hereby instructed to enter
this resolution on the minutes of this Board of Supervisors

as a statement of the result of said election.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of August, 1965,
by the following vote:

I, JPSSie Rogers , County Clerk of the
County of Butte, California, do hereby certify as follows:
The foregoing is a full, true and correct copy
of a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of said County, at a regular meeting of said Board duly
and regularly and legally held at the regular meeting
place thereof on August 30, 1966, of which meeting all
of the members of said Board had due notice and at which
a majority thereof was present.
At said meeting said resolution was introduced
by Supervisor Pryde and read in full, and was
thereupon, upon motion of Supervisor Pryde ,
seconded by Supervisor Maxon , adopted by the
following vote:
AXES: Supervisors Howsden, Maxon, McKillop, Pryde and
Chairman Giles
NOES: none
ABSENT: none
I have carefully compared the same with the
original minutes of said meeting on file and of record in
my office and said resolution is a full, true and correct
copy of the original resolution adopted at said meeting
and entered in said minutes.
The original resolution has not been amended,
modified or rescinded since the date of its adoption and
the same is naw in full force and effect.
