BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING BTDi~TELL PARK--
5 i4ILE DA1~, CHICO, FOR GRANT APPLTC~ITION PURSUAI3T TO
THE PROVISION OF THE STATE BCND ACT OF 19b4
Tr~RE~S, the voters..of the StatQ of California approved the State
Beach, Parks, Recreation and historical Facilities Bond Act of 196•; and
Wh7's:°,~5, the. Bond Act includes the provisions for grants to counties
and other local park agencies; and

ti~REAS, said. Bond Act requires that the Board of Supervisors of
the County in which said ,grants axe to be spent, must approve all projects
and grant applications prior to submission of the said applications to
the State Resources Agency; and...
1•lHERE~IS, said-Bond Act .further requires that all proposed projects
must be identified on a recognized I"iaster plan o£ parks and Recreation;
and
~rJII~RErAS, on the 28th day of June, .1966_, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Bfztte, Mate of California reviewed and ammended the
parks and Recreation Plan for Butte County, which had been established
originally on the 26th day of tay, 19529. and..-
~r1fIEREAS, the City of Chico iri11 make application. for subsidy under
the provisions of the State Bond_Act_of 1961+ for the purrpose of develop-
meet of a regional recreation area., which is cu-~^rently included in the
parks and Recreation Plan for Butte County; and
rJtIEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State- of
California, did tentatively approve for distribution of the $192,150 •cahich
represents the County's share of the grant as provided in the State Bond
Act far said project; and
~RF:~S", preliminary review by the County of Butte. indicated that
the aforementioned application is generally consistent Tfrith the State
requirements for approval.

NOW, THETtEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the $oard of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California. approve the project entitled
Bidwell Parl~- 5 ~r(i1e Dam, Chico, for ?192,10 within the City of Chico
and requests that the State of California process said application at
the earliest possible dated
The foregoing Resolution. was adopted on motion by Supervisor
Howsden , seoonded by Supervisor PrYde , and said Resolu-
tion eras passed on this 30th day of Aub st, 1966, on roll call by the
following vote;
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Giles
