BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
l RESOLUTION APPROVING FILING OF AN APPLICATION
FOR A FEDERAL GRANT FOR THE CHAPMAN PROJECT, A
NEIGHBORHOOD FACILITY PROJECT

4 ~I~EREAS, C~3IC0 AREA RECREATION DISTRICT desires to apply
5 for a federal grant of assistance under Section 703 of the
6 IIousing and Urban Development Act of 1965; and
7. AHEREAS, this board believes this project to be in the best
$ interests of Butte County,
9 NE7Ti~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD
10 OF SUPERVISORS as follows:
i~.' 1a The Project is desirable and in the public interest,
12 20 The Project will provide a facility necessary for
13 carrying out a program of community service of the type
14 contemplated by said Section 703,
J.5 3. The Project is consistent with comprehensive planning
16 for the County of Butte, Chico area,
17 4a The Project is so located as to be available for use
18 by a significant portion of the areas iow or moderate
19 income residents.
20 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
21 of Butte, State of California, this 13th day of September, 1966,
22 by the following vote:
23 AYES: Supervisors Howsden, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Giles
2~4 NOES: Supervisor I~Faxon
