3 RESOLUTTON REGARDING "DAY-IN-COURT"

5 WHEREAS, legal secretaries, along with the judges and
6 lawyers in our county, participate in one of life's most satisfy-
.? ing endeavors - the doing of Justice; and
g WHEREAS, many legal secretaries have never had the
g opportunity to attend court and see at first-hand the inner work-
10 ings of the judicial branch of our Government with which they are
11 so closely associated by reason of their profession as legal
12 secretaries; and
13 WHEREAS, one of the aims and purposes of the BUTTE COUNTY
14 LEGAL SECRETARTES, INC. is to increase the skill, competence and
15 usefulness of legal secretaries, not for their sakes alone, but
16 in order that they may better serve their employers; and
17 WHEREAS, it is the belief of the BUTTE COUNTY LEGAL
lg SECRETARIES, INC that a DAY-IN-COURT for each legal secretary
lg would further her understanding, interest and,efficency in her
20 job,
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED BY THE BOARD
22 OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as
$3 follows:
24 That October 26, 1966, is hereby designated as the official
2g DAY-IN-COURT for BUTTE COUNTY IE GAL aECRETARIES, INC..
2g PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNT
87 OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, this 2Oth day of September, 1966,
