BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE CONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRICAL
IMPROVEMENTS AND CORRECTION OF CODE INFRACTIONS ON THE
BUTTE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS AT GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA

WHEREAS, the State of California Public Works Board has
approved on August 30, 1965, the construction of electrical
improvements and correction of code infractions on the Butte
County Fairgrounds at Gridley, California; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Finance has appropriated
and set aside for use of the Butte County Fair a sum of twenty-
five thousand ($25,000.00) dollars under Executive Order No. F-
65-69 to be used for construction of electrical improvements and
correction of code infractions; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte, by and through the Butte
County Fair Association, desires to make said improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
1. That Butte County Fair Association be authorized to
contract with a private firm for the preparation of plans and
specifications for the construction of electrical improvements and
correction of code infractions on the Butte County Fairgrounds;
2. That Butte County Fair Association be authorized to
expend such of the above funds as are necessary and available to
expedite said improvements, including: The advertising for bids;
3. That the County of Butte, by and through its Department
of Public Works and Director thereof, is hereby authorized to do
the following: ~.
(a) To inspect and approve plans and specifications;
(b} To inspect and approve all bid and contract forms;
(c) To cause the publication of a call for bids, as
required by law;

(d} To perform all necessary engineering and inspections
and finally approve the performance of the principal
contractor obtaining a successful bid.
4. That upon receipt of a satisfactory bid, County will
enter into a contract for the performance of said work, subject
to performance by Butte County Fair Association, as follows:
(a) That Butte County Fair Association shall perform such
duties necessary toward the payment to such contractor
and for purchases or services herein provided, out of
funds allocated to such Butte County Fair for said
purpose by the State Department of Finance;
(b} That the Butte County Fair Association assumes res-
ponsibility for all costs incurred during, prior, or
after construction of said electrical improvements and
correction of code infractions as provided herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 11th day of October,
1966, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, Maxon, McKillop and Chairman Giles
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisor Pryde
