1ESOLUTION ENDORSING PROPOSITION 2 FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

WHEREAS, there is to be submitted to the voters of California
a proposition which. will provide $230,000,000.00 to be used for
capital outlay needs of the California State Colleges and the
University of California; and
WHEREAS, due to the apparent necessary future needs which
require expansion of the existing campuses and new institutions
to provide for the higher education building needs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE that they endorse and support Proposition 2
the Higher Education Construction Program Bond Act of 1966, which
will appear on the ballot to be submitted to the electorate at the
General Election, November 8, 1966.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 25th day of October,
1966, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, McKillop, Prpde and Chairman Giles
NOES: Supervisor Maxon
ABSENT: None
