COUNT'Y' OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
N O T I C E
and
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON COUNTY HIGHWAYS,
OR PORTIONS THEREOF,
and
NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
(A portion of Nelson Bar Road
BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the
COUNTY 0~' BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
1. That it is the intention of said Board of Supervisor:
to abandon the County Highways, or portions thereof, hereinafter
described, if it is determined at the hearing as hereinafter sit,
that said County Highways, or portions thereof, are unnecessary
for present or prospective public use.
2. That the hearing on this Notice and Resolution to
abandon County Highways, or portions thereof, shall be held on

Tuesday, e~ ~Q, 1966, at i-@-:~-0 a.m. of said day, in the
Supervisorst Room in the Butte County Courthouse, fronting on
Huntoon Street in Oroville, California, at which time said Board
will hear evidence of any party interested.
3. That a copy of this Notice and Resolution shall be
publishes in a newspaper of general circulation published in the
County of Butte, and hereinafter designated by this Board, for
at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the date fixed for
the hearing. That a copy of this Notice and Resolution shall be
'conspicuously posted along the line of the highway proposed to be
'abandoned for at least two (27 weeks prior to the date of said
',hearing.
j 4. That the County Highways, or portions thereof, the

!, subject of this Notice and Resolution, are situate in the County
I~~ of Butte, State of California, and more particularly described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof as if

specifically set forth herein in detail.
5. That the Oroville Mercury Register, a newspaper
of general circulation, published in the County of Butte, State
of California, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which
this Notice and Resolution shall be published as required by law.
The foregoing resolution was adopted and passed on the
29th day of November , 1966, by the following vote:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
of
PORTION OF NELSON BAR ROAD
TO BE ABANDONED
All that certain real property situated in the County
of Butte, State of California, described as:
A portion of the Nelson Bar Road in Sections 5, 7 and
8 in Township 21 North, Range 4 East, M.B.B. & M.,
more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of the Nelson Bar Boad lying between
a point on the centerline of the Nelson Bar Road and
on the south line of the northeast quarter of said
Section 7, from which point the southeast corner of
said northeast quarter bears North 88°32'58" East
1,893.00 feet to a point in the centerline of said
Nelson Bar Road from which point the south quarter
corner of said Section 5 bears North 87°28'34" East
1,728.05 feet.
Bearings and distances in the above description are
based on the California Coordinate System, Zone II
and Zane TI coordinates for the point of beginning
are Y=737,447.29 and X=2,121,789.46.
