AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF TAE
COUNTY 0~' BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475 AND 522
OF SAID COUNTY
The-Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County as amended by
Ordinance No: 522, do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of
Butte, State of .California, shall be and is hereby zoned as an "N[-2T'
(Heavy Industrial)- District as hereinafter described and sub~eet to aTl"
of the restricted uses applicable to the uses of an "M-2n District, said
area so zoned being located in the community of Oroville, California;
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline of Oroville-Dam Boulevard
and its interse~etion with-the centerline of the
Southern Paeifia Railroad rights of way; thence southerly
along-said centerline of said railroad rights of way'to
its interae-coon with section line common to Sections
20 and 29, T. 19 N. R. 4E; thence westerly along section
line to quarter corner common to Sections 19 and~3O of
said township.; thence southerly along half section line
to its intersection with the centerline of Marysville-
Baggett Road; thence westerly along said centerline of
Marysville-Baggett Road to its intersection with U.S:
highway 40A; thence northerly along said U.S: Highway 40A
to'i~s intersection with the centerline of Oroville-Dam
Boulevard; thence easterly along said centerline of
said Oroville-Dam Boulevard to the ~3oint of beginning:
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in as "PI-2" {Heavy.
Industrial) District2
2.1 Uses Permitted:
1) Any use permitted in ~'Nt,-1" .(Light Industrial) Districts.
2) Manufacturing of alcohol; ammonia; bleaching powders or
ahlor.ine; asphalt or refining; brick and tile,, concrete or
- concrete products; linoleum, petroleum products; plastic,~soap,
sodium compounds; tar and tar products; lumber and lumber
. products.
3~ Iron or steel fouBdry or prefabrication plant and ~Zeavy
Weight casting.
4) Canneries, olive processing plants and :.other agricultttrstl
processing plants of a similar nature.
5)~ ~8ailroad repair shops'.
6) Processing of dunk, w ste; discarded or salvaged material,
machinery or equipment in~lud3ng automobile wrecking or,dis-
mantling.
7) In general,- those uses which may be obnoxious or offensive
by reason of the emission of odor; dust; smoke; gas; noise
vibration and the like and not ,allowed in any other zone, are
permitted.
2,2 Anp use for which a Use Permit is required in an "A-2" District.

2.3 Accessory uses and buildings permitted pertinent to any per-~
muted use.
2.y. Building .height limit: Seventy-five (75) feet.
2.5 Minimum building site area required: Eight-thousand,- one
hundred and twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2.6 Minimum building site width required: Sixty-five (65) feet.
2.~ Minims buildiag setback requireds Fifty (5D) feet from
centerline of street.-
2.$ Minimum side yard requireds Six {6) feeto
2.9 Minimum rear pard required: Six (6j feet.
2610 Off-street parkin requiredY One (l) parking space for each
three (3) employees,~or one ~l) parking space for each two-thousand (2.,000)
square--feet of gross floor space, whichever is greater.-

space for the handling of all goodsy materials amd equipment shall be pro=
videdo Such-space sha11 be of sufficient area and of such design as to
permit the parking and loading of vehicles without extending into anp
existing street beyond the curb linen
SECTION 3. All "R" (Residential) uses sub3eat to the securing of a
use permit in each case.
SECTION ,t~, "C~2" or General Commercial. uses ma be 'permitted
fox property"having frontage on the Oroville-Dam Boulevard to a depth
not to exceed five-hundred (500) feet from the centerline of said
Oroville-Dam Boulevard, and for property fronting U.S. Highway 1~OA
five-hundred (500) feet north of the intersection of.Marysville-Haggett
Road to a depth not to exceed five hundred (50~) feet:
SECTION' S. ,Penalties for'any violation.of't~e mooning hereby im=
poped within the District shall be as provided in_the honing Enabling
Ordinance. Ixi compliance with the provisions cif the- Zoning Enabling
Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date
become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6.. In compliance with tie provision of said Zoniag Enabling .
Ordinance the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 5 thereof this°
Orddnance in full.
SECTION '7. This Ordinance shall be and it is heret~y declared to
be; in"full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the
date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
&f ter its passage this Ordinance shall be published cane with the names
of: the members voting for and against it, in Crx~ov~ 37.e Press
