BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AND ORDEJt TREEING BERTIE {BUSTER) W. EPICER, JR.
OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE 'SUPPORT OF MABEL C. DADS, ~iIS
MOTHER, PURSUANT TO SECTION 206.7 OF THE CALIFORNIA CIVIL
CODE ____
WHEREAS, BERTIE {BUSTER) W.`SPICER, JR., an adult, has
applied to the Butte County Board of Supervisors for a resolution
freeing him from the responsibility of supporting MABEL C. DADS,
his mother; and
WHEREAS, MABEL C. UADE is a recipient of aid under the Welfa:
and Institutions Code; and
WHEREAS, BERTIE {BUSTER) W. SPICER, JR. has made application
pursuant to 'Section 206.7 of the Civil Code; and
WHEREAS, evidence, both documentary and oral, has been
presented to this board that while a minor he was abandoned by
said MABEL C. DADS, his mother, for a period of more than two
years prior to his reaching the age of eighteen years, and that
during said period of abandonment she was physically and mentally
able to support him; and
WHEREAS, this board does not determine the moral respon-
sibility of a son to support his mother,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE that they find as follows:
1. MABEL C. DADE is receiving aid under the appropriate
sections of the Welfare and Institutions Code.
2. That BERTIE {BUSTER) W. SPICER, JR. was abandoned by his
mother for a period longer than two years and prior to his reach-
ing the age of eighteen years.
3. That MABEL C. DARE, during said period of abandonment,
was physically and mentally able to support him.
NOW, THEREFORE, THIS BOARD ORDERS that said B'ERTIE {BUSTER)
W. SPICER, JR. is hereby free of the responsibility of support
for his parent, MABEL C. DADS.
