WYANDOTTE CEMETERY DISTRICT
RESOLUTION N0. 67•-13
RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE
OF SUBMITTING TO QUALIFIED ELECTORS WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE PROPOSED WYANDOTTE CEMETERY DISTRICT A MEASURE
TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THE DISTRICT SHALL BE CREATED.
WHEREAS, a Petition has been duly filed with the Butte
County Board of Supervisors for the formation of a public cemetery
district to be known as the Wyandotte Cemetery District; and
WHEREAS, the District formation was duly noticed and a
hearing held thereon on the 1st day of December, 1966, and on the
5th day of January, 1967, at which time there were no protests to
the creation of the District; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Local Agency Formation Com-
mission, by Resolution No. 67-1, duly passed and ordered that the
Wyandotte Cemetery District be formed pursuant to law and encompass
the lands hereinafter described;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, AS FOLLOWS::
1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true
and correct and this Board so finds and determines.
2. This Board deems it necessary, pursuant to Section
8931 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California,
that a special election be called to determine whether or not
the district should be created.

3. A special election/is hereby called and ordered to
be held in the proposed Wyandotte Cemetery District, the boundaries
of which are described as follows:
All that certain real property situated, lying and
being in the County of Butte, State of California
and which said district constitutes the former
Wyandotte School District and portions of Atkins
and Olive School Districts and being more particu-
larly described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the southwest corner of section 12
township 18 N. R. 4E., thence north on section line
to quarter section corner between sections 11 and
12 of said township, thence east on half-section
line 1/2 mile to center corner of section 12 said
township thence north on half-section line lj2 mile
to the quarter-section corner between sections 1-12,
said township thence Tidest on section line 1 1/2 miles
to the southwest corner. of section 2, township 18
N.R. 4E M.D.M., thence north on section lines 2
miles to the northwest corner of section 35 township
19 N.R. 4E M.D.M. thence east on section line
3519.78 ft. thence north 33 degrees and 41 minutes
east 6345.24 ft. to intersection with line between
sections 24 and 25 township 19 N. R. 4 E M.D.M.
thence west on section line 17&0.22 ft. to the
south easy corner of section 23 said township thence
north on section line to the quarter section corner
between sections 23 and 24 thence east on half
section line 1/2 mile to the center corner of said
section 24 thence north on half section line l 1/2
miles to half section corner in-south line of
section 12 township 19 range 4 east thence east
2 lj2 miles to the north east corner section 17
township 19-north range 5 east, thence south on'
section line 3 miles to the south east corner of
section 29 township 19 N.R. 5E thence east 2
miles to the south east corner section 27 township
19 N.R. 5E thence south 3 miles to the south east
corner section 10 township 18 N. R. 5E thence
west 5 miles more or less to the point of beginning;
and
All that certain piece, or parcel of land situate,
lying and being in the County of Butte, State of
California, and being particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section
Thirty-five (35) Township Nineteen, North Range
Four East, M.D.B. & M., and thence East on
Section line fifty Three chains and Thirty-three
links; thence North 33°41' East Ninety-six chains
and fourteen links to intersection with line
between Sections Twenty-four and Twenty-five,
Township Nineteen North, Range Four East, M.D.B. &
M; thence West on section line One Hundred and
six chains and sixty-six links to the North West
corner of Section Twenty-six, Township Nineteen
North Range Four East, M.D.B. & M., thence South
along section"line to the place of beginning.

at which election there shall be submitted the measure herein-
after set forth. This Board does hereby submit to the qualified
electors of the proposed Wyandotte Cemetery District at said
special election the measure and designates and refers thereto
in the ballot hereinafter prescribed for use at said election.
~. The polls at the polling place hereinafter mentioned
shall be opened at eight o'clock a.m. and shall be kept open
continuously thereafter until seven o'clock p.m. on the day of
.said election, when said polls shall be closed (except as pro-
vided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of
California), and the election officers shall thereupon proceed
to canvass the ballots cast thereat..
5. The judges of the election shall, within 24 hours
after the closing of the election, make return of and certify
the votes of the electors, showing the total number of votes cast,
the number of votes in favor of and the number of votes against
.creation of the District.
b. Said special election shall be held and conducted
.and the votes thereat canvassed, and the returns thereof made,
and the result thereof ascertained and determined as herein pro-
vided. In all particulars not prescribed in this Resolution, said
election shall be held in accordance with the general election
laws of the State of California and Division 8, Part 4, Chapter 5
of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, as
far as the same shall be applicable. The returns of said election
shall be made out and signed by the election officers and shall
be by them deposited with the County Clerk of the County of Butte,
together with the ballots cast at said election.
7. For the conduct of said special election the Wyandotte
Cemetery District shall constitute one (1) special election pre-
cinct, the boundaries of which shall be coterminus with the

.boundaries of the Wyandotte Cemetery District as described above.
The polling place in said special election precinct and the
election officers appointed to conduct said election thereas are
as follows:

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: To vote on any measure, stamp a
cross (X) in the voting square
after the word "YES" or after
the word "NO°. All marks except the cross (X) are
forbidden. All distinguishing marks or erasures are
forbidden and make the ballot void. If you wrongly stamp,
tear or deface this ballot, return it to the Inspector of
Election and obtain another. On absent voter ballots
mark a cross (X) with pen or pencil.

9. Anew register or legal ballot paper shall not be
required.
10. All persons who reside within the proposed boun-
daries of the Wyandotte Cemetery District and who possess all of
the qualifications required of electors under the general election
laws of the State of California shall be qualified and entitled
to vote at said special election.
11. The County Clerk of the County of Butte is hereby
directed to cause notice of said special election hereby called
to be given by causing a notice of said election containing this
Resolution to be published once a week for two (2) successive
weeks pursuant to California Government Code Seetion 6066, in
the Oroville Mercury, a newspaper of general circulation circu-
i lating within the Wyandotte Cemetery District area.
12. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.

I, JESSIE ROGERS, County Clerk of the County of
Butte, California, do hereby certify as follows:
The foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a
Resolution duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of said
County, at a regular meeting of said Board duly and regularly
and legally held at the regular meeting place thereof on
January 24 , 1967, of which meeting all of the
members of said Board had due notice and at which a majority
thereof were present.
At said meeting said Resolution was introduced by
Supervisor Howsden and read in full, and was there
upon, upon motion of Supervisor Pryde , seconded
by Supervisor ~McKillop adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Supervisors Dunaway, McKi7.7.op, Pryde and Ohairman Howsden
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisor Maxon
I have carefully compared the same with the original
minutes of said meeting on file and of record in my office and
!-said Resolution is a full, true and correct copy of the original
Resolution adopted at said meeting and entered in said minutes.
The original Resolution has not been amended, modified
or rescinded since the date of its adoption and the same is
now in full force and effect.
