BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
' COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION REQUESTING STATE STUDY ON ECONOMIC IMPACT
ON BUTTE COUNTY AS A RESULT OF COMPLETION OF THE
OROVILLE DAM PROJECT
WHEREAS, prior to the construction of Oroville Dam and
related features, the State of California made a study of the
economic impact of the construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, the work of building the Oroville project is
nearing completion; and
WHE[~EAS, the construction of the project has been an
important factor in the economy of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that business, local government and
other organizations and individuals have all necessary information
concerning the economic impact which will result upon the com-
pletion of the project; and
WHEREAS, such. information is important to sound planning
on the part of business, government and community leaders,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
respectfully requests that the State of California make a study
as soon as possible of the impact on the economy of Butte County
upon the completion of the Oroville project; and
2. That such. study cover but not be limited to such.
factors as the end of the construction payroll, the indirect.
impact on service-related business, the effect on governmental
services and taxation and the development of recreation; and
3. That copies of this resolution be sent to Governor
Ronald Reagan, Assemblyman Ray E. Johnson, and Senator Fred Marler.

County of Butte, State of California, this 7th day of March, 1967,
by the following vote:
