RESOLUTION NO o 67~ '~~
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF. BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OPPOSING ASSEMBLY SILL 403
'WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 403 had been introduced for the purpose
of providing state administration of welfare; and
~3EREAS, welfare is a local problem having differences in
administration due to different geographic, economic and
population problems; and
~SaEREAS, the administration of said problems have local
implication,
NOTE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That they by this resolution oppose Assembly Bill 403,
2. The administration of local problems shall remain with the
local entitieso
3. That regardless of the source of the furch to be used for
the various programs,taxpayers money is still the source of
revenue for carrying out these plans.
4. That any removal of local control from the County is
contrary to the spirit of effective representation and administratM
ion.
5. That copies of this resolution be sent to Governor Ronald
Reagan, Assemblyman Ray E. Johnson, and Senator Fred Marler, and
to such others interested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte this 28th day of March, 1967, by the following vote:
