BOARD OF 'SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE: OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION CONCERNING"~,TELFARE BULLETTN 644
IiTHEREAS, T~elfare Bulletin 644 has been in effect for a sub-
stantial length of time, providing an opportunity to observe the
results of its operation; and
'T~HEREA'S, various counties, due to their economic position
and population problem, have observed different effects of said
7Aelfare Bulletin 644; and
'[,PHEREA'S, the agricultural counties have been unfairly
burdened with the operation of said Welfare Bulletin 644; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the Director of Social Welfare
desires to consider fully the ramifications of said Idelfare
Bulletin 644,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BO~,RD
OF ,'SUPERVISORS as follows;
1. That they endorse the full hearing and consideration
of Welfare Bulletin 644 and the results of its operation;
2. That in consideration of the burden placed upon agri-
cultural counties that said Welfare Bulletin 644 befr~escinded; an
3, That a copy of this resolution be sent to John Montgomery
State Director of Social Welfare, and to other interested persons
this board may designate.
