BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION RE UESTTNG STUDY OF WELFARE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the subject of welfare frauds is a matter of
great concern to the county; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate body to study welfare frauds is
the Legislature of the State of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, that the Legislature of the State of
California provide the appropriate study of such possibilities
of welfare fraud, and that a report and copy be made available to
the counties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be forwarded to the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor of the State
of California, the Honorable Fred Marler, Senator of the State of
California, the Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman of the State of
California, the Assembly Committee on Health and Welfare, the
Senate Committee on Health and Welfare, and the nine Northern
i counties.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this 25th day of April, 1967, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Maxon, Pxyde and Chairman Howsden
