FREEMAN Executive Secretary Mrs. Jessie Rogers Butte County Clerk Courthouse Oroville, California 95965 October 10, 1968 Dear Mrs. Rogers: On May 29, 1967, the Secretary of State certified the annexation of non-contiguous territory to the City of Grid- ley by Resolution No. 67-100 of the Butte County Board of Supervisors. We have not received a filing for this annexa- tion. A mixup quite often occurs in tkzis type of annexation. The county and the city each thinks the other is going to file and neither does. It is our belief that it is the city's responsibility to comply with Section ~j~-g00 et seq of the Government Code in this case. Sincerely yours, Martin C.
