WHEREAS, DGNE,31D A. HEWITT, for ten years last past, has been
the Medical Director of Butte County; and
i~iI:1~uAS, he has meritoriously administered the Butte County
Hospital and the medical services in conjunction therewith; and
WHEREAS, DLINALD A. HWTTT has participated in many local civic
activities, as well as state activities, including being a member
of the State Hospital Advisory Board, being appointed by Governor
Brown in 1965, and reappointed by Governor Reagan in 1967, and has
also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the California
Hospital Association, and is Past President of the Sacramento
Valley Hospital Conference, and is presently acting consultant to
the State Department of Public Health in the field of maternal and
child welfare, as well as special problems of the aged. That these
activities knave increased the stature of Butte County on the state-
wide recognition basis,

express their appreciation for the years of dedicated service to
