COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING INTERIM WELFARE DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, Section 10801 et seq of the California Welfare and
Institutions Code requires that the Board of Supervisors appoint
a County Director whose administrative responsibility, for and on
behalf of the Board of Supervisors shall be to have full charge
of the county department and the responsibility for administering
and enforcing the provisions of the Welfare and Institutions. Co de
pertaining to public social service under the regulations of the
State Department of Social Welfare, and to abide by all lawful
directives of the State Department of Social Welfare, transmitted
'through the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors
to make such appointment on an interim basis; -
NOI~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That John Polson be and he hereby is appointed as
Interim Welfare Director effective November 1, 1967;
2. That said appointment shall not exceed a period of four
months;
3. That he shall be paid at the rate of Range 40, Step l
of the Butte County Salary Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31st day of October, 1967, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Maxon, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman ttowsden
NOES: Bone
ABSENT: None
