BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF ABANDONMENT OF BUTTE COUNTY F~IGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, heretofore declared its intention to vacate
and abandon the following described public highway of the County
of Butte:
The easterly half of that certain alley running easterly
and westerly between Olive Street and Almond Street
shown as Lot C of Hall's First Addition to Paradise as
recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Butte County,
California, in Book 6 of maps at page 25 on January 5,
1909; said easterly half of said alley is bounded on the
north by Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and bounded on the south
by Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, all in Block 2 as shown on
said map.
Reserving unto the County of Butte, an easement for
drainage and utility purposes .over, under, across and
through the northerly 15.00 feet of said alley.
WHEREAS, upon filing Resolution of Intention To Abandon
said highway, the Board of Supervisors did, by order, fix the 31st
day of October, 1967, at 11:00 a.m., of said day, at the Butte
County Courthouse, Oroville, California, as the time and place
for a public hearing, and continued to November 7, 1967 at I1:00
a,m.; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was given to all freeholder
', of the district in which said highway is located by publication
for two successive weeks prior to the date of said hearing, in the
Oroville Mercury, and by posting similar notices along the line of
the highway proposed to be abandoned; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all legal requirements have been
complied with, and the board, being fully informed and advised,
finds that the highway described in said resolution is unnecessary.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, that the public

highway as above described is hereby ordered vacated and
abandoned, The County Clerk is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this order in the office of the County Recorder
of Butte, County, for record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 7th day of November,
1967, by the following vote:
AYES: Svparvlsor Dunaway, Maxon, Mcg37.lop and Chairman Aewsden
NOES: Supervisor Pryde
ABSENT: None
