RESOLUTION N0. 67167
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2 RESOLUTION NAMING STATE OWNED WATER FACILITIES
3 WHEREAS, the California Water Commission, pursuant to
4 Section 16105 of the Water Code, is an powered to name all facili-
5 ties of the State Water Resources Development System owned by the
6 state; and
7 WHEREAS, the water facility construction located near
8 Oroville, California, is to be named by said commission; and
9 WHEREAS, the naming of the facility is of extreme importance
10 to the community wherein said facility is located,
11 NOW, TI-IEREFORE, BE IT RES®LVED by the Board of Supervisors
12 of the County of Butte, that the California Water Commission
13 shall not only consult but shall consider as authoratative the
14 recommendations of the local entity within which the facility is
15 being constructed, or has been constructed and is to be located.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this board of supervisors
17 designate Supervisor Jack McKillop, and he is authorized to appear
18 on behalf of the County of Butte and make a recommendation to the
19 California Water Commission for the name to be adopted for the
20 facility located near Oroville.
21 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
22 of Butte, State of California, this 14th day of N wember, 1967,
23 by the following vote:
24 AYES: Supervisors Banaway, Maxon, McKillop, Pryde and Cizairman Howsden
26 NOES: None
