BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2 RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, REORGANIZING
3 SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND RE-ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to Education Code Sections 2091 through
6 2098, the County Superintendent of Schools ordered an election
7 to be held in the County of Butte on July 11, 1967, and has
8 certified that a majority of the votes cast within the petitioning
9 district approved annexation of the Atkins School District to the
10 Oroville School District in the County of Butte, State of Calif-
11 ornia; and
12 WHE~4EAS, an agreement to the annexation has been signed by
13 a majority of the members of the governing boards of the districts
14 affected thereby; and
15 WHEREAS, Education Code Section 1701 provides that an
T6 action to organize or reorganize a district is complete when the
17 Board of Supervisors makes the order required by Section 1647,
18 NOW, THEP.EFORE, TT TS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
19 SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE as follows:
20 1. That pursuant to the authority conferred by the pro-
21 visions of the Education Code, Section 1647, that certain territor
22 situate in the County of Butte, State of California, and more
23 particularly described as follows, to wit:
24 Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 4, T. 19 N.,
2B R. 4 E., M.D.M.; thence West on township line 14 miles to
26 the quarter quarter Section corner on North Boundary of
27 Section 5; thence South on section subdivision line d
28 mile to the quarter quarter section corner in the Feather
29 River; thence meandering down the center of the Feather
30 River to intersection with the line between Section 25 and
31 36, T. 19 N., R. 3 E., M.D.M.; thence East on section
32 line 7/8 of a mile to the Southeast corner of said Section
~, 25; thence North on range line 8 chains more or less .to
2 the Southwest corner of Section 30, T. 19 N., R. 4 E.,
3 M.D.M.; thence East on section lines 2 miles to the South-
4 east corner of Section 29, said township; thence North on
5 section line 1 mile. to the Southeast c:;rner of Section 20,

7 Northwest corner of Section 26, same Township; thence South
g 3 miles to the Southwest corner of Section 2, T. 18 N.,
g R. 4 E.; thence East on Section line 12 mile to quarter

12 West i mile to West quarter corner of said Section 12;
13 thence South 1 mile to quarter section corner between
14 Sections 13 and 14, same township; thence West 1 mile to
15 the quarter section corner between Sections 14 and 15, same

17 Section 23, same township; thence East 2 miles to the

21 mile to center of said Section 19; thence North z mile to
22 quarter corner between Sections 18 and 19, same township;
23 thence East 2 mile to Southeast corner of said Sectirn 18;

26 Sections 10 and 15, same township; thence North on North.

31 Butte and Yuba Counties; then Northerly along the boundary
32 line between the said Counties of Butte and Yuba as now

2 section corner between Sections 9 and 16, said Township;
3 thence West one-half mile to the Southeast corner of
4 Section 8, T. 19 N., R. 6 E; thence North on section line
5 two and one-half miles more or less to the centerline of the
6 South Fork of the Feather River; thence Westerly along said
7 centerline to the Southeast corner of Section 33, T. 20 N.,
8 R. 5 E., thence South one mile more or less to the South-
9 west corner of Section 3, T. 19 N., R. 5 E., thence West
10 on section line one and one-half miles to the quarter sectiot
11 corner between Sections 5 and 8, said Township; thence south
12 one-half mile to the center corner of Section 8, said Town-
13 ship; thence West on half section line two miles to the
14 center corner of Section 12, said Township; thence North on
15 half section line one and one-half miles to the quarter
16 section corner between Section 1, T. 19 N., R. 4 E., and
17 Section 36, T. 20 N., R. 4 E.; thence West on township line,
18 2a miles to the place of beginning.
19 Also that land annexed by the City of Oroville Ordinance
20 ~k739, Nov. 1, 1951,
21 be, and the same hereby is declared to be .and established as a
22 separate school district of the County of Butte, for all purposes
23 provided by law.
24 2. The Clerk of this Board is directed to record a certi-
25 fied copy of this Resolution and Order with the Canty Recorder
26 of the County of Butte, and to file with the County Auditor of the
27 County of Butte, and with the State Board of Equalization, a
28 certified copy of this Resolution and Order, accompanied by a
29 map showing the re-established boundaries of said new school
30 district of Butte County.
31 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPIItVISORS of the County
32 of Butte, State of California, this 19th day of December, 1967,

SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARID RE-ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIL'S OF
SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHIN THE' COUNTY OF BU~'TE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Education Code Sections 2091 through
2098, the County Superintendent of Schools ordered an election
to be held in the County of Butte on July 11, 1967, and has
