2 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
'3 COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
4 RESOLUTION OF APPROVAL ANA FOR EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENT FOR ABANDONMENT OF ROADS
$ AND CONSTRUCTION OF TURNAROUNDS
B Wf~REAS, the State of California, acting by and
'r through the Department of Water Resources, has presented to this
8 Board a contract entitled, "Agreement For Abandonment of Certain
g Roads: Oroville Dam and Reservoir," which said agreement
10 provides that County will abandon portions of the Enterprise,
11 Vinton Gulch,
12 Truex, Berry Creek and former State Highway 40A, and providing
13 for the construction of turnarounds on said roads and for the
I4 i granting of an easement by State to County for said roads and
15 ~ turnarounds in return for County's agreement to maintain said
16 roads; and
17 WHEREAS, this Board desires to enter into said
18 contract and agreement.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
20 Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as
21 follows:
22 1. That said Board hereby approves said contract and
23 agreement and authorizes the Chairman of this Board to execute
24 the same on behalf of the County of Butte.
25 2. That it is understood and agreed by and between
26 the State of California and this Board that the aforesaid
27 agreement shall become effective only upon final approval by
28 the Department of General Services of the State of California.
29 3. That the Clerk of this Soard attach a certified
30 copy of this resolution to all copies of said contract and
31 agreement.
