AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING USE
OF COUNTY HIGHWA7CS IN UNINCORPORATED RESIDEidTIAL SUBDIVISION AREAS BY
COi~1MERCIAL JEHICLES EXCEEDIlVG A 02.055 WEIGHT OF 14 000 LBSo
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Commercial vehicles exceeding a gross weight of 14,000 lbs.
are hereby prohibited from using the following County highways, to wit:
Muir Avenue .. between Ca13.fornia Route 4q (sign route 32)
and Bell Road northwest of Ghico

Be11 Road -between Muir Avenue and Cussick Avenue northwest
of Chico
Shasta Avenue -between Cussick Avenue-and U, S, Highvray 99E
northwest of Chico
Rodeo Avenue -between Muir Avenue and Nord Avenue northwest
of Chico
Nord Avenue -between Bell Road and Renshaw Avenue northwest of
Chico
SECTION 2: This Board hereby designates the alternate route for the
use of vehicles prohibited fromzn~~:ng the County highways named in SECTION
1 hereof to be as follows, to wit:
Nord Avenue, between State Route 47 (sign route 32~ and
Renshaw Avenue, and Renshaw Avenue for its
entire length
SECTION 3: That appropriate signs shall be erected indicating the
highways affected by this ordinance, it being determined that such signing
wi7.l best serve to give notice of this ordinance.
SECTION 4~: Every person convicted of a misdemeanor for a violation
of this ordinance, shall be punished, as provided in Section 42001, of the
California Vehicle Code, as for a violation of Div. 1~, (commencing at
Section 3$000) of said Code, by authority of which this ordinance is enacted.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect within thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the expiration
of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with the

3 meeting thereof, held on the 2 th ~y of Aril , 1960, by the
