BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION FOR COURT LOCATION
3 WHEREAS, the need for additional court space has been de-
4 Glared by sever-al Grand Juries in their annual report; and
5 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County agrees
g that there is an urgent need to provide additional space for the
ry courts; and
8 WHEREAS, Government Code Section 68073 gives the judges of
g the courts authority to order the sheriff to provide adequate
10 apace if such is not provided for by the Board of Supervisors; and
11 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has employed a recognized
12 firm to recommend a location which would be in the best interest
13 of the entire county; and
14 WHEREAS, the. recommendation has been made to the Board of
15 Supervisors,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BUTTE COUNTX BOARD OF
17 SUPERVISORS that it is the intention of this board to proceed with
18 a site development plan for the County Center, and to employ an
19 architect to draw plans and provide cost estimates for the first
20 phase of needed buildings to be located at the County Center.
21 PASSED AND ,ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
22 of Butte, State of California, this 9th day of .7anuary, 1968
23 by the following vote:

25 NOES: Supervisor McKillop and Chairman Maxon
26 ABSENT: None
