BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT PROPERTY TAX RELIEF FUI~U S
BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE COUNTIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE
WHEREAS, $155,000.000.00 has been tentatively earmarked
for real property tax relief by the Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the property taxpayers throughout the various
counties of the state are in dire need of tax relief,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the entire amount of
$155,000,000.00, or additional funds if available, be paid
directly to the general funds of the various counties throughout
the state in order that county property tax rates may be lowered
accordingly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
sent by the clerk of this board: to the Honorable Ronald Reagan,
Governor of the State of California, the Honorable Ray Johnson,
Assemblyman of the State of California, and the Honorable Fred
Marler, Senator of the State of California, and to such other
interested parties as this board may designate.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 16th day 'of January,
1968, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Runaway, Howsden, McKillop, Pryde & Chairutan. Maxon
NOES : None
ABSENT : None
