BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION FOR SUMMARY ABANDONMENT FOR A
PORTION OF OROVILLE-GRIDLEY HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, a portion of the Oroville-Gridley Highway is no longer
necessary or required for road purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Streets and Highways Code, Section 960,1,
the Board finds that a portion of Oroville-Gridley Highway should be summarily
vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. The following described portion of the Oroville-Gridley Highway
is hereby summarily vacated and abandoned pursuant to Streets & Highways Code
Section 960.1:
All that certain real property situate in th.e County of Butte, State
of California being a portion of the old Oroville-Gridley Highway lying east
of the Feather River and being a portion.^of the south half of Section 33,
T1$N, R3E, MDB&M more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of the above said old Oroville-Gridley Highway, as described
in the deed to Butte County, recorded December 24, 1941, in Book 2$6, at
Page 5, the deed to Butte County recorded November 23, 1921, in Book 195 of
Deeds, at page 102, and the deed to Butte County recorded January 6, 1913, in
Book 132 of Deechj at page 454, Official Records of Butte County, said portion
bounded on the east by the southerly prolongation of the eastexly line of that
certain parcel of land conveyed to Roy Mathews, et ux by deed recorded
December 14, 1942, in Book 302, at Page 334., Official Records of Butte County
and bounded on the west by the Feather River, Containing an area of Q $29
acre, more or less.
PASSID AND ADOPTID by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, this 23rd day of January , 196$,
by the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, McKiilop, Pryde and Chairman Maxon
