BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION RELATING TO LEGISLATION TO REVISE THE MAYO-
BREED FORMt7LA FOR THE ALLOCATION OF STATE GASOLINE TAXES
WHEREAS, legislation has been introduced, or will be intro-
duced, to change the existing Mayo-Breed Formula relating to the
division of State Highway Funds between Northern and Southern
California; and
WHEREAS, it is of statewide interest to develop a network
of State Highways which would benefit the entire state; and
WHEREAS, any change in the Mayo-Breed Formula would divert
more funds to the Southern California region and would possibly
delay the State Highway and Interstate System of Freeways in
Northern California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors that they do hereby oppose passage of Assembly Bill
No. 2, and any other legislation which might change the existing
Mayo-Breed Formula.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be \
forwarded to the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor of the State
of California, Honorable Ray ,7ohnson, Assemblyman of the State
of California, the Honorable Fred Marler, Senator of the State
of California, and to any other interested person designated by
this board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
on the 30th day of 3anu3ry, 1968, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, McRillop, Pryde & Chairman Maxon
NOES: None
ABSENT : None
