WHEREAS, in many instances a travel request is made by a
department head for the travel of more than one individual to
meetings; and
WHEREAS, this constitutes added expense to the County of
Butte; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that one person attend
such meetings and relate the findings from said meetings to the
entire stafff of the department; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to have a standard policy concernin;

NOW, THEREFOR E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE that it shall be the policy of the Board of
Supervisors to restrict the attendance of meetings to one person
from a department, however, in the event the department head
desires to deviate from this policy and send mare than one person
from his department, such a request shall be accompanied by a
letter of justification and/or an explanation by said department
head before the Board of Supervisors at the time the travel request
is considered.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, this 13th day of February, 1968, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Maxon
