HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-0361 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 i0 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 '' 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION N0. 68-36 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 23 OF THE UNITED STATES HOUSING ACT OF 1937, AS AMENDED, TO LOCALITY WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, the Public Housing Administration is authorized to provide financial assistance to local public housing agencies in providing low-rent housing by leasing dwelling units in existing privately owned structures; and WHEREAS, said Section 23 provides that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any locality unless the governing body of the locality has by resolution approved the application of such provisions to such locality. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California as follows: The application of the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, to the County of Butte, State of California is approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is conditioned upo: the fact that the survey provided for in Section 23 be presented t~ the Board of Supervisors for a determination as to whether or not there is any necessity to groceed under the provisions of this section. Chi ~ rman Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: JESSIE ROGERS, County Clerk and ex,officio Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By Deputy C' ~ ~ - ~7 2~ WHEREAS the But ~ County Board of Supervi: s and the Butte County Employees' Association believe in a relationship of trust, confidence, mutual understanding and respect among all county em- ployees, which includes department heads both appointed and elected, and other officials of the County of Butte, including the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS the Butte County Board of Supervisors and the Butte County Employees' Association further believe that employees of the County of Butte through the performance of their official duties and the con-- duct of their personal lives, must bring honor to, and promote recogni- tion of, the integrity, economy and efficiency of county government; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT in order to implement these beliefs, each employee shall: 1, During the course of his duty as a county officer or employee, devote his full time, attention and efforts to his county office or employment in accordance with such rules, regula- tions and laws as pertain thereto; and 2. Strive to establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees within his department as well as between various other county departments; and 3. Endeavor to resolve all departmental problems, matters con- cerning personnel, and public inquiries and problems through proper administrative procedures, in a manner dignifying to all. The Butte County Board of Supervisors and the Butte County Employees' Association, in adopting this Resolution, further resolve to participate in the establishment and support of appropriate procedures to implement the intent of this Resolution.
