BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE IN APPRECIATION OF THE SERVICES
OF CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL, RANGER WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF FORESTRY

WHEREAS, CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL, for over thirty-eight
years has served with the California Division of Forestry; and
WHEREAS, on the 1st day of March, 1968, he retired from
active services; and
"WHEREAS, in 1957, CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL was transferred
to Butte County, the county of his birth, as ranger for the county;
and
14 WHEREAS, CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL has been the guiding
15 and leading advocate of good local fire services having been
16 Fire Coordinator for the California Disaster Office in the. County
lq of Butte for the last ten years, and was instrumental in the
18 advancements of the Butte County Fire Chief Association; and
19 WHEREAS, CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL was responsible for the
20 reconstruction of the entire Butte Ranger Headquarters Building, the
21 new fire control station on State Highway 32, Harts Mill, Oro-
22 Quincy Highway,and Kelly Ridge, as well as putting on its way the
23 Biggs Fire Control Station; and
24 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte havE
25 appreciated the assistance and cooperation which have been rendered
26 by Ranger Campbell,
27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
28 of the County of Butte hereby extend its sincerest appreciation to
29 CHARLES PATTERSON CAMPBELL for his conscientious and devoted public
30 service and his contributions to the County of Butte by his dedicat-
31 ion to this service and to the county of his birth.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 12th day of March, 1968, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, McKilT.op, Pryde and Chairman Maxon
