RESOLUTION NO. G8 - sg
APPROVING PETITION FOR PUBLIC IMPROVE~~E NTS
WHEREAS, on /1fa~/, _ /9 _ 1°68, certain
owners of lands in this county filed their petition with
the Clerk of this Board and in their said petition requested
this Board
To do certain work and to construct certain
improvements in accordance with the provisions
of the Improvement Act of 1°11 on streets, public
places, and public rights o£ way in this County, and
To order plans and specifications to be prepared
for said ~rork and improvements for approval by
this Board or to obtain them £or approval by the
Board where required by law.
To assess the costs and expenses of said work and
imjrovements in accordance with the provisions o£
said Act on a district o£ lands which said owners
declared would be benefited by said work and improv e
meats, and
To order serial bands to be issued in accordance
with the provisions of said Act to represent
arty unpaid assessments for said work and improve-
ments and to order said bonds to contain certain
provisio ns which said owners requested that said
bonds contain, and

WHEREAS, said owners declared in said petition that
they were the owners of more than 60~ in area of the lands
described in said petition and declared that they waived all
the provisions of Division 4 of the Streets and Highways
Code (The Special Assessment Investigation, Zimitation and
~~a,jority Protest Act of 1931) and all investigations, pro
ceedings and reports provided for therein, and
WHEREAS, this Board is of the opinion that said
petition shall be granted, and
WHEREAS, EVERD A. MC CAIN, a Licensed Civil Engineer,
has advised this Board in writing that the persons who signed
said petition and waiver are the owners of more than 60f in
area of the lands described in said petition.
NC~T THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA:
That this Board finds and determines respecting
the petition filed with the Clerk of this Board on
rtaron i9 , 1968, that the owners of more than 60~
in a~ea of the real property described therein have signed
said petition and waived all the provisions of Division 4
of the Streets and Highways Code (The Special Assessment
Investigation, ~m.itation and Nfajority Protest Act of 1931}
and all investigations, proceedings and reports provided
for therein.
That this Board hereby grants the name EAST AVENUE
ASSESSMENT' DTSTRTCT to the area described in said petition.

That this Board hereby grants said petition and
hereby determines to do the work and improvements described
in said petition under the Improvement Act of 1°11, to assess
the costs and expenses thereof on the district of lands
described in said petition and to issue improvement bonds
under said Act to represent unpaid assessments.
'That this Board hereby directs plans and specifi-
cations for doing said work and constructing said improvements
together with careful estimates. of the costs and expenses
thereof to be obtained and presented to this Board where
required by law.
