ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLUTION N0. 68-40
EMPLOYING ATTORNEY
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE GOUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA:
That this Board hereby employs EDGAR A. BOYLES, JR.,
Attorney at Law, 926 J Street, Sacramento, California,
to prepare all the resolutions, notices, affidavits,
and ather legal documents necessary for the improvement proceed-
ings in East Avenue Assessment District,
to advise this Board and other officials of the
County of Butte in all matters pertaining to the Special Assess-
ment Investigation, T,m.itation and Majority Protest Act of 1931
and the Improvement Act of 1911 until improvement bonds are
issued, and
to prepare and sign an opizai.on respecting the validity
of any improvement bonds issued to represent unpaid assessments
levied in said Assessment District.
That this Board hereby directs that said attorneyts
compensation shall be the amount of money which is equal to 3%
of the construction cost of the work and improvements for said
Assessment District, that said sum be charged to and paid from

the incidental expenses for said Assessment District, and that
said sum be paid to him as follov~s:
(l) At or after the contract for the word is
signed, one-half.
(2} At or after the Assessment is confirmed,
one-half.

OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THIS 19eh DAY OF March ,
