RESOLUTION N0. 68 - 4®
APPOINTING ENGINEER OF WORK
AND
DESIGNATING HIS DUTIES
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OI' THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA:
That EVERD McCAIN be, and he is hereby, appointed
Engineer of Work and that he shall do and perform the duties
of the County Engineer or Super~.tendent of Streets that are
hereafter specified in the matter of i~.e improvement of
certain streets and easements within and adjacent to the
area in this County described in a petition approved on
/~Ia,.~ /~ , 1968, by this Board in Resolution
No. ~~
That said Engineer of Work is hereby directed to
prepare for this Board, Maps, Diagrams, Plans and Specifications
for doing said work tog~her with careful estimates of the costs
and expenses thereof.
That said work shall be done under the direction
and to the satisfaction of the. said Engineer of Work and that
he sha11 make and sign the Assessment to be levied for said
work together with-.:the Warrant for the same.

Tb.at the compensation for Everd McCain for the
performance of the duties hereinabove set forth shall be
determined in accordance with that certain letter attached
hereto and marked Exhibit A and that said sum be charged
to and paid only from the incidental expenses for said
Assessment District and from no other source or fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY
OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THIS 7.9th .DAY OF March ,
1968, by the following vote:

In accordance with your instructions, we have prepared a schedule
of compensation rates for the various portions of the engineering
and surveying work necessary to complete the proposed East Avenue
Assessment District in Chico, California.
We propose to provide the engineering and surveying services on
an hourly basis with a guaranteed not-to-exceed fixed amount.
Hourly rates for the various job classifications shall be as
follows:

We guarantee that the hourly rates charged will not amount to more
than the following totals:

1. Preparation of plans and specification $ 1,770.00
for curb and gutter, drainage facilities
and related items included required
field surveys.
2. Preparation of proceedings, posting $ 1,572.00
notices, mailing, consultation with
bidders, attend public hearings,
engineering writing of R. 0. I.
3. Construction staking $ 996.00
4. Construction inspection $ 900.00
5. Assessment spreading and diagram $ 544.00

Total Maximum Amount $ 5,782.00

We agree that should the District formation be withheld for any
'.reason, payment for services rendered will a15o be withheld
until such time that the formation is completed. Payment for
services rendered to be made upon the award of the construction
contract and upon the confirming of the Assessment.
