BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
1 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT N0. 10

3 WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Legislature of the
4 State of California a bill known as ACA 10; and
6 WHEREAS, said bill would amend Section 3, Article XX, of
g the California Constitution; and
7 WHEREAS, said bill would regard loyalty oaths and add the
8 requirements that officer or employee of state taking state loyalt;
g oath do not belong to prohibited organization knowing of its ad-
10 vocation of overthrow of government by violent means with the
Il intent to further those illegal aims,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
13 OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE as follows:
14 1. That said board does hereby support Assembly Constituti-
15 onal Amendment No. 10, and respectfully requests that the Legis-
16 lature of the State of California support said bill.
17 2. That the clerk of this board is hereby directed to send
lg copies of this resolution to the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor
19 of the State of California, to the Honorable Ray Johnson,
20 Assemblyman of the State of California, to the Honorable Fred
21 Marley, Senator of the State of California, and to such other
22 interested parties as may be designated by this board.
23 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of April, 1968, by the
24 following vote:
25 AYES: Supervisors Runaway, Howsden, McKillop, Pryde & Chairman Maxon
