BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1 COUNTY OF BUTT', STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ASSFT4BLY BILL N0. 157
3 WHER?:AS, there is now pending before the Legislature of the
4 State of California a bill known as Assembly Bill No. 157; and
5 WHEREAS, said bill would amend Sections 1028, 1369, and 3109
g of the Government Code, relating to subversive activities; and
7 WHEREAS, said bill adds intent to further known prohibited
g aims of subversive organizations in penal provisions for sub-
9 versive activities,
lp NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
11 of the County of Butte as follows:
Z2 1. That said board does hereby support Assembly Bi11 No.
].3 157, and respectfully requests that the Legislature of the State
1¢ of California support said bill.
15 2. That the clerk of this board is hereby directed to send
16 copies of this resolution to the Honorable Ronald Reagan,
17 Governor of the State of California, to the Honorable Ray Johnson,
~.g Assemblyman of the State of California, to the Honorable Fred
~,g Marler, Senator of the State of California, and to such other
20 interested parties as this board may designate.
21 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of April, 1968, by the
22 following vote:
