BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSOLIDATION
OF SPECIAL CITY OF GRIDLEY REAL PROPERTY PURCHASE
ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE
HELD JUNE 4, 1968 (Elections Code Section 23301)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gridley has called
for a special election for the voters to approve a real property
acquisition to be held on the 4th day of June, 1968, and has
requested this board to order consolidation of said special real

property purchase election with the statewide primary election
to be held on June 4, 1968.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as
follows:
1. That the special real proXe rty purchase election,
pursuant to that certain resolution dated April 1, 1968, by the
City Council of the City of Gridley, is to be consolidated with
the statewide election to be held June 4, 1968.
2. That the returns of said special election shall be
canvassed by the County Clerk of the County of Butte and certified
to the City of Gridley. Further, said consolidated special
election and the statewide primary election shall be held in
all respects as though there were only one election.
3. That the measures to be placed on the ballot for the
electors residing within the City of Gridley shall be as follows:
Shall the City of Gridley purchase that certain
real property situate, lying and being in the
City of Gridley, described as follows, to wit:
Lot One and the North sixty feet of Lot Two of
Block 12 of the City of Gridley from Charles
L. King and Margaret N. King, his wife, sellers,
for the sum of SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS
($76,000.00) and to obligate the City of Gridley
to pay said sum to said sellers as follows:
Said sum to bear interest at the rate of six (6)
per cent per annum from the first day of July,
1968, until paid, on all deferred balances,
payments of principal and interest to be made to
sellers in annual installments of NINE THOUSAND,
THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($9,350.00) com-
mencing December 15, 1970, said annual payments

to be first applied to interest and the balance
to be applied to reduce the principal of said
obligations, with interest only to be paid on said
obligation on December 15, 1968, and December 15,
1969.

County of Butte, State of California, this 16th day of April,
1968, by the following vote:
