BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTR, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
1 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BEQUEST OF _MINNIE M. GRAY
2 WHEREAS, MINNIE M. GRAY, a long time resident of Oroville
3 and the County of Butte, has, by her Will, generously and graci-
4 ously bequeathed the County of Butte the sum of $15,000; and
~ WHR.REAS, this bequest was made as a memorial to her deceased
6 husband, Carleton Gray; and
7 WHEREAS, 'the County of Butte is proud to memorialize such an
g outstanding citizen and attorney as Carleton Gray,
g NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVTSORS
10 OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, that they hereby
11 accept the bequest of $15,000 and instruct the Auditor of the
12 County of Butte to deposit the same in the Law Library Trust Fund,
13 and, further, that said $15,000 shall be used solely and exclusi-
14 vely for the purpose of establishing a Law Library and/or maintain-
15 ing and adding to the existing Butte County Law Library, and that
16 any such establishment or addition shall be known and designated
17. as the "CARL~;TON GRAY LAW LIBRARY".
lg BF. IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this board expresses its
19 sincere appreciation for this bequest and acknowledges civic
2p benefits which will result therefrom.
21 BE IT FURTH.F.,R RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
22 forwarded to the heirs of MINNIE M. GRAY, deceased.
23 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of July, 1968, by the
24 following vote:
