BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
ORDER AND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS,
COUNTY OF BUTTE, PROVIDING FOR CONSOLIDATION OF
FEATHER RIVER RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT ELECTION
OF TRUSTEES AND RICHVALE RECREATION AND PARK DTSTRICT
ELECTION OF TRUSTEES WITH 'II1E GENERAL STATEWIDE ELECTION
TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 5, 1968 __
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Feather River Recreat-
ion and Park District of Butte County, California, and the
Governing Board of the Richvale Recreation and Park District of
Butte County, California, have called and ordered to be held in
said districts on the 5th day of N vember, 1968, special district
elections, and have requested this board to order consolidation
of said special district elections with the statewide General
Election to be held No vember 5, 1968,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as
follows:
1. That the special district election to be held in the
Feather River Recreation and Park District on November 5, 1968, an
the special district election to be held in the Richvale Recreat-
ion and Park District on November 5, 1968, at which elections
there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of said dist-
ricts the names of the candidates for said boards, are to be
consolidated with the statewide election to be held on November 5,
1968.
2. That the returns of said special district elections for
the Feather River Recreation and Park District and the Richvale
Recreation and Park District shall be canvassed, or caused to be,
by the County Clerk of Butte County and certified to the governin
board of the district. Further, said consolidated special
district elections of Feather River Recreation and Park District
Board and Richvale Recreation and Park District Board and the
statewide General Election shall be held in all respects as

though they were only one election.
3. That the expenses of the elections attributable to said
districts shall be charged to said districts respectively.
PASSED AND ADOPTF_D by the Board of Supervisors of the.
Count. of Butte, State of California, this 13th day of August,
1968, by the following vote:

WHEREAS, the District, as of this date, anticipates participating
in the General Election in Navember for the election of its Boar-members,

in Novembers and in the best interest of the taxpayers, desires to pursue
the most judicious and economical course of action,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that th® k'eather River Recreation

County Board of Supervisors give full consideration to the consoiidatiori

to consolidate the ballot fox the election of Recreation District Board
members with the General County ballot in the November election.
It is my understanding that the Chico Area Recreation and Park District
followed this procedure for the election of their Board members in 1966,
