g RESOLUTION AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY PERSONNEL RULES

g, WHEREAS, this board finds that the Personnel Rules in force
g for the employees of the County of Butte are in need of change,
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARB OF SUPERVISORS
11 OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE that the Personnel Rules for the employees
12 of the County of Butte are amended as set out in Exhibit "A" which
13 is attached hereto and incorparated herein as if set forth in
1,¢ full as to the particular section numbers.

1 Section 9.2 of the Butte County Personnel Rules is
2' amended to read as follows:
3 Section 9.2 Sick Leave. Sick leave with pay
4 shall be granted by the department head at the rate of
5 one working day per month. Sick leave shall not be
g considered a privilege which an employee may use at
7 his discretion. It shall be allowed only in case of
g necessity and actual sickness or disability. Unused
g sick leave may be accumulated to a total of not more
10 than 120 working days.
11 In order to receive compensation while absent on sick
12 leave, the employee shall notify his department head
13 prior to or within four hours after the time set for
Z4 beginning his daily duties, or as may be specified
15 by the head of his department. The employee shall
16 file a physician's certificate or a personnel affidavit
17' with the department head stating the cause of his
lg absence. For the purposes of this section, normal
19. pregnancy is not an illness.
20 Sick leave time shall be charged in accordance with
21 the amount of sal,a,~y; pa~:d;qut of sick leave.
22 Extra help employees sha;~l;;not earn sick leave.
