'~~ BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR ALLOCATION OF FUNDS TO PUBLIC UT TLITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CAhTFORNIA BE IT RESOLUID by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of California, as follows, to wit: 1. That said Board hereby approves and authorizes the request for allocation of funds from the Public Utilities Commission in connection with the following railroad crossing: Southern Pacific RR on Bille Road (Crossing No, CH-199.6} 2. That the Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized to execute said request, and the Clerk of this Board is authorized to attach a certi= fied copy of this resolution to said request. Request of County of Butte for Allocation from Crnssing Protection Fund for Protection at the Following Crossing: A. Southern Pacific RR on Bille Road .(Crossing No. CH-199.5) UEST FOR I,IACATI013 OF' FUA7DS The County of Butte, State of California, hereby requests the Public Utilities Commission to make an allocation to apglicant from the Crossing Protection Fund in the maximum amount of $2,200.00, such allocation, however, not to exceed one-half of the actual costs of applicant's share of the costs of constructing protection at the Southern Pacific Rail- road on Bi11e Road (Crossing No. CH-199.6). 1. Attached as Exhibit A is a true copy of s resolution adopted by the Board of Super- visors of the County of Butte, authorizing submission of this request. 2. Present protection at crossings: wooden crossbucka each side of tracks. 3. Proposed protection at crossings: two No. 8 flashing lights. 4. Vehicular and train traffic: (A) Vehicles - 2,360 per day. (B} Trains - one train is each direction, six days a week. S. Estimated cost of installation is attached as Exhibit B. 5. True copies of agreement between applicant aad railroad are attached as Exhibit C. 7. The County of Butte is willing and able to participate 3n the costs of construc- tion iu the amount of $2,200.00 over and above the amount of the requested allocation and this amount has been budgeted in the current fiscal year. 8. During the last three fiscal years, the County of Butte has expended $9,872.50 for crossing protection. Amount budgeted for present fiscal year - $5,000.00. 9. .Funds for pavement markings and advance warning signs are included iu the County's maintenance budget. These markings and signs will be placed prior tv completing of the new crossing installations.
