BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION FOR SUMMARY ABANDONMENT FOR A
PORTION OF KENNEDY AVENUE
WHEREAS, a portion of Kennedy Avenue is no longer necessary or regc.~ired
for road purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Streets and Highways Code, Section 960.1,
l-he Board finds that a portion of Kennedy Avenue should be summarily vacated,
NOW, THERE~`6RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. The following described portion of Kennedy Avenue is hereby
summarily vacated and abandoned pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
Section 960.1:
All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly right of caay
line of Kennedy Avenue (60 feet wide) with the southwesterly right of way line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad (formerly Californiaaixi Oregon Railway, 100
feet wide) as said Avenue and Railway are shown on that certain map entitled,
"Map of the Sixth Subdivision of the John Bidwell Rancho" which map was re-
corded December 3, I90I in Book 5 of P4aps at Page 30, Butte County Official
Records; thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING S 60°49`00"E along the said
southwesterly railroad right of way line 31.42 feet; thence leaving said
railroad right of way line S 28°49`50"W, 51.00 feet to the southerly right
of way line of said Kennedy Avenue," thence along said southerly line 5 89°59'
70.85 feet; thence leaving said southerly line N 61°10'10"W 39.48 feet; thence
northwesterly on the arc of a tangent- 330.00 foot radius curve, concave to the
south, through a central angle of 28°50'50" for 166.15 feet to the said
northerly right of way line of Kennedy Avenue; thence along said northerly
line N 89°59'00"E 261.83 feet to the point of beginning. Containing an area
of 0.203 acre, more ox' less.
