BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SETTING DATES FOR VARIOUS
STEPS IN THE COUNTY BUDGET PREPARATION
WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the County of Butte to
',adopt the final county budget for a fiscal year before that year
b egins; and
WHEREAS, Sections 29000 to 29095 of the Government Code,
State of California, authorize a board of supervisors to advance
the times specified in the Government Code for certain steps in the
preparation of the annual county budget,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors,
County of Butte, State of California, that the following specified
times for steps in the preparation and adoption of the annual count
budget shall apply to all departments, officers, and institutions
of the County of Butte:
1. On or before January 1, the County Auditor shall send
budget forms for estimated revenues and expenditures for the next
fiscal year to each office or department;
2. On or before February 15, the estimates shall be re- i
turned to the County Auditor; I!
3. If any department, office or institution does not ',
submit a budget on or before February 15, the County Auditor is
ordered to make up the budget for such department;
4. On or before March 15, the Auditor shall send copies of
the budget estimates to the County Administrative Officer, incorp-
orating salary changes, if any, in the requested figures, as
determined by board action on the annual salary survey. (Per
Resolution No. )
5. On or before June 1, the County Administrative Officer
shall present the proposed budget document to the Board of
Supervisors for adoption as a "proposed budget";
6. On or before June 10, the Board of Supervisors shall
1 publish the notice as required by Government Code Section 29066,
2 which notice shall contain the notice of the public budget hearing
3 which shall be not less than ten days after the budget documents
4: are available;
S 7. On or before the expiration of ten days after the
g start of the public hearing, the board shall adopt the final budget

8, County of Butte, State of California, this 10th day of December
