BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF REHABILITATION
OF CHICO M[7NICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Chico Municipal Airport provides commercial
airline service for all of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, the physical condition of the runway and taxi
strip at Chico Municipal Airport has deteriorated to the point
where complete renovation is required; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has agreed t
financially assist the City of Chico in the project to renovate th
runway and taxi strip, with the city and the county to split the
remaining cost, with the county's share not to exceed $72,500; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chico has made application to the
Federal Aviation Agency, the Economic Development Administration,
and the California Division of Aeronautics for financial assist-
ante in this renovation project,
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisor
of the County of Butte urges the aforementioned agencies to appr
the applications for funds for this project, and that copies of
this resolution be submitted to the Federal Aviation Agency, the
Economic Development Administration, and the California Division
of Aeronautics.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 25th day of February,
1969, by the following vote:
