COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL TYPE
OF EXTENDED SERVICE WITHIN COUNTY SERVICE AREA 34
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of December, 1968, the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, adopted Resolution No. 68-206
establishing County Service Area No. 34, for the operation,
maintenance, repair and upkeep of a swimming pool constructed
upon the Butte County Fairgrounds; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25210.30 provides that only
the types of extended services specified in the Resolution
Establishing a Service Area may be authorized or provided
therein; and
WHEREAS, the types of extended services specified in the
Resolution Establishing County Service Area No. 34 do not include
the purchase of capital improvements; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of capital improvements is necessary
for the efficient operation, maintenance, repair and upkeep of
said swimming pool; and
WHEREAS, Title 3, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 2.2, Article,
3 of the Government Code of the State of California provides for
the extension of authorized services within an established
county service area,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HERESY RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, as follows:
1. That it is proposed that County Service Area No. 34,
which was established to provide for the operation, maintenance,
repair and upkeep of a swimming pool constructed upon the Butte
County Fairgrounds, and the boundaries of which are described
in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference as though fully set forth verbatim and at length, be
provided with an additional type of extended sexv'ice.
2. That said additional type of extended. service shall be

the purchase of capital improvements, as determined by the Board
of Supervisors of the 'County of Butte.
3. That except where funds are otherwise available from
service charges collected pursuant to Government Code Section
25210.77a, a tax sufficient to pay for the additional extended
service will be levied annually upon all taxable property within
such are.

4. That on Nfay 13, 1969, at X94 p.m., a public hearing
wi11 be held in the Supervisors Room of the Butte County
Courthouse, in the City of Oroville, County of Butte, Skate of
California, upon the question of providing said additional type
of extended service within Service Area No. 34.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 8th day of April,
1969, by the following vote:
