RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY BILL 715
WHEREAS, Section 17922 of the Health and Safety Code imposes
painting requirements reasonably consistent with the minimum
painting standards for home construction loans adopted by the
Federal Housing 1-sdministration and the Department of Veterans
Affairs; and
WHEREAS, said Section 17922 would require permits and in-
spections from local jurisdictions for painting of buildings
subject to these regulations; and
WIiEREAS, the enforcement oi` painting requirements is
practically impossible to enforce without full-time inspection; and
W[3EREAS, painting standards do not affect in any way the
protection of the public health, safety and general welfare of the
occupant and public,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors does hereby go on record as supporting Assembly-Bill
715, which deletes these painting requirements; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be
sent to the Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman, Honorable Fred
Marley, Senator, and the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor of the
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 29th day of April, 1969, by
the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, Maxon, Reynolds and Chairman McKili
