BOARD OF Si3PERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, S'TATF, OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE ESTABLTSHME\TT
OF MANDATORY CALIFORNIA INCOi~ WITH-
HOLDING TAY
WHEREAS, this board has been made aware of various Senate
and Assembly Bi11s which would establish withholding for the
California income tax; and
WEIEREAS, this board is adamantly opposed to the concept of
withholding far the California income tax,
NOW, THERErORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County o:E Butte, State of California, that they oppose a
mandatory withholding for the California income tax, and respect-
fu7~ly request that the California Legislature not enact such
legislation.
IT IS rURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
sent to the Honorable Ray Johnson, Assemblyman, Honorable Fred
rlarler, Senator, and the Honorable Ronald Reagan, Governor of the
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
oi` Butte, State of California, this 29th day of April, 1969, by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Maxon, and Reynolds
NOES: Supervisor Howsden and Chairman McKillop
