COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF SACKETT E. BOOTH
WHEREAS, SACKETT E. BOOTH died in Oroville, Butte County,
California, on the 25th day of April, 1969; and
WHEREAS, SACKETT E. BOOTH was, at the time of his death, a
member of the Butte County Housing Authority, having served in
that capacity with distinction for the past 23 years; and
WHEREAS, SACKETT E. BOOTH was a member of the Oroville City
Park Board from 1949 until 1962, at which time he resigned for
reasons of health; and
WHEREAS, in addition to said official public service to
the county and to the state, SACKETT E. BOOTH actively participa
during his lifetime in the affairs of his country and his commu-
nity
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
1. That said board hereby expresses its appreciation
for the outstanding services rendered by SACKETT E. BOOTH to the
County of Butte as a member of said Butte County Housing Authority,
and for his leadership in the County of Butte and the community
in which he lived, both as a member of the Butte County Housing
Authority and as a citizen.
2. That the condolences of this board be extended to the
members of the family of SACKETT E. B00 TH, and that the Clerk of
this board forward a certified copy of this resolution to VELMA
BOOTH, his surviving spouse, and to his sons, EARL BOOTH and
WILLIAM BOOTH, and his daughters, JANE SHERWOOD and MEDINA CLEWETT
3. That the regular meeting of this board;: held on this
6th day of May, 1969, be adjourned in memory of SACKETT E. BOOTH.
