COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION ESTABLISIiING PROCEDURE FOR BILLING THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE BY THE BUTTE COUNTY COMMUNITY
HOSPITAL FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS, AMENDING RESOLUTION
N0. 68-188.

WHEREAS, heretofore this board, in Resolution No. 68-188,
has set out. various billing procedures for the Butte County
Community Hospital; and
WHEREAS, this board finds that a different procedure should
be set out for billing the County of Butte for indigent patients
of the hospital,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That Resolution No. 68-188 is hereby amended as follows
for indigent patients:
a. Monthly, the hospital will transfer a certified
', list of all medical indigent accounts, with supporting
documents, to the office of the County Treasurer for
care rendered after October 31, 196$,
b. Upon receipt of said list and supporting documents,
the County Treasurer will certify all acceptable
charges and the accountability thereof.
c. The County Treasurer will notify the County Auditor
of receipt and acceptance of said list and supporting
documents for purchase by the .county, and the Treasurer
shall act as certifying officer.
d. The County Auditor shall charge the Treasurer with
the accountability of the said list.
e. The County Auditor shall issue a warrant for
provisional payment of said accounts upon receipt of
the County Treasurer's certification, and cause to be
delivered to the Treasurer said warrant representing
the amount so certified and accepted for transmittal

by the Treasurer to the hospital.
2. The remainder of, and any provisions not in conflict
herein, the Resolution No. 68-185, shall continue in effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 20th day of May, 1969,
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dunaway, Howsden, Maxon, Reynolds and Chairman McK
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
